Exercise 101

The Key memo to “staying fit”

How to get exercise, right at your home
  • Set up a home gym. Make obstacles that you have to perform and time yourself.
  • Go outside and get some air: go swimming, ride a bike, go jogging, or jump on a trampoline.
  • Turn on your favorite CD and start dancing.
  • Sign up for a yoga class.
  • Babysit a little kid. (they’ll get you running)
  • Run up and down the stairs.
  • Jump rope.
  • Stretch daily in an open area.

Ways to stay fit...
  • Avoid any fatty foods, sugars & sweets, or greasy and/or oily goods.
  • Try making dessert healthy: add fresh fruit on top of your cake; make oatmeal cookies.
  • Set up an exercise day with a friend.
  • Avoid the sugar, fatty, and greasy food isles while shopping.
  • Try eating yogurt or making a smoothie for a snack instead of reaching for the cookie jar.
  • Eat many small healthy snacks throughout the day; this way you won’t be tempted to eat so much big and unhealthy meals.

Healthy Eating

Sugar or Smoothie?
Smoothie is the way to go, of course. But many people prefer the other way. Especially for breakfast, which provides you with the energy you need to get through the day. Obtaining this may help you with test struggles, interacting with peers, and other things you do through the day. Of course, not all smoothies are healthy. There can be smoothies with all sorts of unhealthy foods in them, starting with the basic source- sugar. Even those energy drinks and drinks with caffeine in them like coffee may get you through the day but they are not good to be always gulping down.
Try drinking a breakfast smoothie every morning and down the cinnamon rolls or sugary cereal. It’ll start you off to a refreshing, healthy day- and I guarantee your body will thank you.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie
  • 8 ounces crushed ice
  • 1 ounce strawberry juice
  • 4 strawberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 11 ounces plain nonfat frozen yogurt

  • Blend 15 to 20 seconds; use a spatula to remove the thick and creamy smoothie from the blender.
